I bring a passion for advancing equality and sustainability in land use through community engagement and participatory design. I have extensive experience in strategic planning, research, and project management with local governments and community-based organizations.
I believe that residents are the experts of their own neighborhoods and that urban planners operate as the conduits helping to translate ideas into policy through advocacy and education.

I’m most interested in if/how land is utilized for the common good. I want to research how climate change and natural disasters contribute to mass migration, food systems, and housing shortages.
I want to know how governments make decisions and how residents rely on mutual aid and engagement to fill in service gaps.
I’m a writer and researcher. I like taking photos. From Yangon to Rio de Janeiro, Taipei to Tbilisi, and places in between…
I document how residents react to urban development changes and the anthropological and environmental forces that shape cities, villages, and communities.
